Paula has extensive intellectual property and transactional experience, focusing on patents, trademarks, copyrights, employee disputes and the Lanham Act. She has represented major telecommunications companies, advertisers, marketers and inventors (including famous products such as Shamwow and WoofWasher), nutraceutical companies and others. Paula has represented clients in patent and trademark infringement actions brought against numerous infringers and has seized goods in customs; resulting in the recovery of settlements. In addition, Paula represents clients in trademark and copyright disputes both before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in various federal district courts and handles matters before the Federal Trade Commission and state Attorney Generals and the Uniform Dispute Resolution Board. She is a Member of the NY State Bar since 1993 and admitted to practice in New York and Washington states.

Prior to joining DLG, Paula served as lead counsel to many pioneer companies in the technology sector both in the US and in Asia. She was on the forefront of telecom deregulation initiatives at the FCC, serving as International Regulatory Counsel to MCI. She spent 8 years in Hong Kong working with esteemed companies such as MCI International, PCCW/Beyond the Network as well as pioneering her Internet “start-up,” Asia Capacity Exchange. Paula has successfully raised capital from VC groups as well as Morgan Stanley and was a regular guest speaker on NBC Squawk Box and CNN’s CEO Roundtable. Paula is a graduate of Rutgers Law School Newark and has a BBA in Industrial Psychology from Baruch College. She has been a member of the NY Bar since 1993. She currently serves as a Mentor to PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel’s 20 Under 20 Fellowship which provides funding and support for young entrepreneurs to pursue radical innovation.
